Together with Central Saint Martins, we have selected graduates from the Jewellery, Textiles and Materials programme to showcase and discuss their final projects.
Rather than focussing purely on aesthetic outcomes, here at Colour Hive we wanted to dive a little deeper by looking at the drivers and inspiration behind their design stories.
These projects, all connected through a shared interest in community, identity and participatory design, will be used as a starting point to consider how the concept of community informs current design responses.
Join us for a LIVE feature webinar, beginning with individual project presentations, and followed by a led discussion on the theme of Design + Community.
The panellists include:
Hannah Malein – Creative Director, Colour Hive / MIX Magazine
Anne Marr – Programme Director for Jewellery, Textiles and Materials, Central Saint Martins
Rebecca Hoyes – Associate Lecturer, Central Saint Martins + MIX Magazine Contributor
Alice Smith – BA Textile Design: Print
Kewpie Chi Ieng Chan – BA Jewellery
Francesca Miotti – BA Textile Design: Weave
Samantha Mensah – BA Textile Design: Print
Millie Marks – BA Jewellery
Emily Boxall – MA Material Futures
The LIVE event will take place on 24th September at 2PM on YouTube, and will be available to view on the platform afterwards.
We’ll be doing a more in-depth write up here on the Journal after the event, so check back for more next week.
