Colour Directions 2024: Submerge

In a narrow blue-green palette, the harmonies are evident. Inspired by fantasy Aegean blues, True Turquoise and Atlantis are the powerful core of the group, with Blue Wash adding a softer note. These dynamic blues are offset by the greenish greys of tributary waterways in Riverweed and Ever Grey. With inky depth, Marine and Deep Viridian anchor the group.

Blue Immersion

From the shaded shallow water mood of Blue Wash to cli-fi inspired Atlantis and True Turquoise and into the depths of Marine and Deep Viridian, layering all of the blue-greens is the clearest expression of the Submerge story.

This is an immersive and evocative combination with almost endless possibilities.

Urban Waterways

This is an unassuming yet intriguing combination. While yellow is a common undertone, the varied expression from neutral Ever Grey to heavily shaded Riverweed and clear tinted Dewdrop creates nuance and complexity.

This is an effective combination for wherever colour subtlety is integral to the design outcome.

Cli-Fi Blues

The high chroma, no-holds-barred duo of True Turquoise and green-cast Atlantis are an almost otherworldly expression of an aquatic theme.

Subtlety and nuance are not the aim with colours designed to be illuminated and rendered digitally for the full fantasy effect. Immersive surfaces and spaces and scroll-stopping campaigns are perfect applications.
