Change is Coming...

When MIX Magazine was first launched back in 2005, our mission was simple: ‘Stay Ahead. Stay First.’ Since then, while colour forecasting and the magazine industry in general and have gone through unimaginable change, MIX Magazine has remained on hand with design insight and colour and material expertise.

Our commitment to high quality design intelligence remains central to what we do, while recognising that the way people want to get their information is very different from how it was nearly 20 years ago.

Speaking to our readers, you had ideas about what would work even better for you. So, in response we are changing the way we publish.

Two Become One

Beginning with our next issue for 2026/27, out in December, you’ll find all four of the season’s design directions brought together in a single magazine. Instead of spanning two publications, each season will be collected in one place and, even better for our readers, published sooner.

We’ll continue to examine each story’s drivers, the regional variations in Geographic Focus, with a new section called Bookmarks, essentially a resource for further reading.

Coverage Now

Our print schedule also presented us with another challenge; how to get time-sensitive insights to you, especially shows and market sector coverage. In this new digital format, you’ll be able to log in and read these sooner, helping you with that all-important post-show decision making.

Subscribers can read the first of our digital show reports now, with coverage of Maison & Objet. Paris Déco Off and London Design Festival, followed by reports from Cersaie and Dutch Design Week in October.

Members can access the latest reports here.

Colour Archives

Finally, our rich library of resources, from Colour Stories to Threads of Influence, Colour Science and industry reports will be brought together for our subscribers, and new features added regularly.

Thank you to all our readers past, present and future!
