Silvia Negrini’s latest solo exhibition Densamente Spopolato at Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea, curated by Ivan Quaroni, shifts between figuration and abstraction. Opening on February 20, 2025 at Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea in Milan, the exhibition presents a series of paintings where geometric precision meets minimalist restraint.

Her work transforms landscapes, interiors and objects into carefully structured compositions, stripped of human presence and reduced to their purest, most essential forms. Colour plays a central role in defining space. Her palette is measured and restrained, reinforcing the sense of stillness and isolation that defines her practice.

Negrini’s approach is rooted in formalism, where polygons and schematic forms replace organic representation, yet the subjects remain recognizable, familiar yet distant. The result is an exploration of emptiness, structure and the immutable essence of objects, inviting viewers to engage with the quiet tension between reality and abstraction.
