Trend drivers

Each issue features thought-provoking essays and insightful editorial from expert contributors to bring context and depth to the forecast.

Outliers

The big picture is important, but so too are the myriad of micro-trends. We chart the ones that we feel are too important to miss.

Design directions

Each issue features two themes for the season with design direction for colour, surface and pattern.                    Be inspired by the original styling and photography that sets our forecasts apart.

Colours

We are colour experts. Our directional colour palettes are endorsed by an in-depth knowledge of how and why colour families evolve. Each trend features a colour palette with analysis of the interplays and proportions.

The standards for these colours are referenced to the closest Pantone, NCS and RAL, plus RGB, CMYK, LAB and HEX breakdowns.

Regional nuances

The global forecast is supplemented with expert regional insight and specified colour variances for Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, North America, Latin America, India, Asia and ANZ.

Colour tracking

We chart the evolution of colours within families across two years with our unique infographic tools. Understanding the growth, peak, decline and nuance of colour groups is an essential planning tool.

Colour now

We forecast colours and trends two years ahead of the season and chart them as they emerge one year ahead in early adopters. This section of the magazine spotlights directional designers and brands across the industry.

Industry focus

Trend directions in Healthcare and Wellness, Contract and Hospitality, Solid Surfaces and Materials Futures are some of the in-depth industry focuses from recent issues.

Shows in context

We bring you editorial insight from the best global design and specialist industry shows.

We interview the people making a difference in colour and design. Recents issues have featured Oliver Heath, Paola Navone, Liz West and Abigail Ahern.
