Cruelty Free is the New Luxury
As Veganuary 2019 comes to an end 300,000 people across 198 countries are estimated to have taken part marking a year on year doubling in numbers since it’s 2014 UK inception.
Add to this that it is younger consumers who are most likely to be favourably drawn to the health, animal welfare and sustainability considerations of veganism and the trend trajectory becomes clear.
It should come as no surprise then that the first Vegan Fashion Week is about to kick off in LA. Dedicated to the global elevation of ethical fashion and under the banner ‘Cruelty Free is the New Luxury’, the four-day event has been produced and created by Emmanuelle Rienda, also known as ‘The Vegan Stylist’.
This year’s theme will be “Facing Our Time” and will explore the challenges faced around ecological and climate change through the lenses of science, nature, and art.
