Sustainable Geometry: Rob Pygott

A chair designed to stand out, 2160 immediately caught our attention when entering part two of New Designers 2015.

Rob Pygott

Designed by Leeds Beckett graduate, Rob Pygott explores two things in his work, sustainability and the story of the materials. Not only using reclaimed materials, Pygott also builds each design by hand, drilling all 2160 holes needed and manually treating the wood to ensure as little negative environmental impact is caused as possible. Taking decaying materials usually disposed of as waste Pygott transforms them into original and unique products.
