Norwegian Furniture Studio: FjordFiesta
While this label rightly deserves attention for its name alone, this small Norwegian furniture studio delivers everything that is desirable when it comes to Scandinavian design, not least its focus on timeless shapes and environmentally friendly practices.
We particularly like its reboot of the classic Scandia ottoman, first designed between 1957 and 1960 by Hans Brattrud and the Krobo bench accessories that work as planters, trays or containers.
The colours are lovely too; thoughtfully selected by German designer Eric Degenhardt. At present the brand is best known in its native Norway but word is spreading and there are now more than 50 retailers in Europe, Asia and the USA. We expect to see much more of FjordFiesta.
