London Design Festival 2018
September is a busy month for the MIX Magazine team, as London gears up for the 16thedition of LDF, spread throughout the city, from 15-23 September. There’s plenty on our to do list, including visiting installations at the Victoria & Albert Museum, especially the maze-like MultiPly in The Sackler Courtyard and Memory & Light, inspired by Arvo Pärt.
We will also be attending all the big shows, starting with Decorex (16-19 September) in Syon Park, where our own Hannah Malien will be presenting MIX Magazine trends as part of the seminar programme. 100% Design (19-22 September) at Olympia follows with two new features, 100% Futures and 100% Forward and for the first time 100% Build London. A change of location for designjunction(20-23 September) will take us to the South Bank at Oxo Tower Wharf, Doon Street and the Riverside Walkway for promised product launches, boutique pop-up shops and bespoke installations. And London Design Fair (20-23 September) looks like being a highly international event, with exhibitors from 36 countries and 13 dedicated pavilions including Portugal, Sweden, Spain, Italy and Korea.
And then of course there are the Design Districts, which include Bankside, Brompton, Fitzrovia, Clerkenwell, Marylebone, Mayfair, Pimlico Road and Shoreditch. This year will also see the launch of the new West Kensington Design District. For a more in-depth preview please take a look at the current edition of MIX Magazine (53). We will also be posting new stories up to and throughout the show.
