Kiss My Name Maquette for DDW 2017

Everyone at MIX Magazine has a soft spot for this show, probably because DDW is all about designs for the future and blue sky thinking at its best. From 21-29 October, Eindhoven is filled with 2500 designers, veering from established names to new talent but the emphasis is always on exploration and ideas, through installations, lectures, exhibitions and parties.

Design Academy Eindhoven

This year’s theme is ‘Stretch,’ referencing the importance of stretching minds, creating spaces and innovating. Highlights include the always inspiring Design Academy Eindhoven Graduation Show, the annual Dutch Design Awards and Dutch Invertuals. The Van Abbemuseum, Kazerne, MU, Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie, Piet Hein Eek, Sectie-C, TAC and Yksi are all organising exhibitions and Het Klokgebouw (under the art directorship of Overtreders W), will showcase Mind the Step, a collaboration between the Universities of Technology TU/e, TUD and UT.
